About Me

...Under Construction...

No, seriously. I am "under construction."
I am constantly finding new things about me that I love or have decided to change. I have multiple personalities... not à la "The Three Faces of Eve", but in the sense that there's the professional Monique that works with children, the professional dancer Monique that will ALWAYS watch an NBA game with hopes of catching and dissecting the dance team's performance. There's Jamaican Monique, there's the American Monique, there's a silly Monique, there's a very romantic and sentimental Monique, then followed by the Monique that hates obvious romantic gestures. I am completely under construction at all times! But I like to think that I am just striving to be an overall "better" Monique.

One thing I can say is that I love my family and those closest to me. I am very loyal and my instincts are rarely wrong. I believe in the good in everybody...unless my instincts say not to, of course (ha ha). I love to laugh, love to travel, and I love when life was simpler. When my only concerns were nailing my round-off back handspring in gymnastics, perfecting my straddle split in dance class, having the best toe-touch on the cheerleading team and swimming faster than my cousin Quincy. Ah...that was life.

By the end of 2013, I hope to have finished writing my first book (its title is purposely not being disclosed yet) and co-writing a book with a friend and ex-colleague of mine. So stay tuned!! Construction is certainly underway...
